Experience

I currently work as a teaching assistant in PreSchool in Minato Ku part time. I work across 2 different classes; one with 4-7 year olds, one with 1-3 year olds. I am experienced in changing nappies, feeding children, reading to them, supervising them with arts and crafts, implementing nap time, assisting with potty training and ensuring child safety in both the classroom and trips out. I work with about 20 children one other teacher. I have a teaching qualification with TEFL.

In 2023, I worked at the same school but full time and was acting as a Childminder via CareFinder for various different families who I had regular bookings with. I would help take care of the children by cooking for them, cleaning the house, helping bathe them, helping them with their homework, getting them ready for bed, reading them stories, engaging in play and most importantly supervising them and keeping them safe. I worked with both solo children and sibling groups. I also did English sittings.

From 2016 until 2023, I worked as a Social Worker in England making sure children and their families were supported in order to meet the children’s needs and keep them safe.

From November 2023 until September 2024, I was in the UK. During this time, I worked with refugee children who had been separated from their parents. I helped them find homes, help them enrol in education, support them with their mental health and took them to health appointments on a regular basis. The children were aged 11-17 years old. In addition to my Social Work degree I have a qualification in understanding Autism and have worked with many children with additional needs, so I am more than happy to provide child care to children who may need additional support.

I have a vast experience of child care and also a good knowledge on how to best promote children’s wellbeing. I hope given this I am able to work with your family and help take care of your children.
