One-on-One Interviews
CareFinder interviews all of the babysitters one-on-one to make sure they are up to CareFinder's standards. We have a strict screening process to make sure that all of our sitters have childcare experience, have the right mindset, are motivated, and have permission to work in Japan. All of the sitters are also registered to work as babysitters with the government. Only 30% of babysitters who apply with CareFinder actually make it through our rigorous screening process. We think you will be impressed with the quality of sitters on CareFinder.
Even though we do our best to select the best sitters, choosing a babysitter is a very personal decision. Please make sure that you conduct in-person interviews with potential babysitter candidates as well. Before meeting in person, you should talk on the phone or over Skype. Once you’ve reached a level of comfort, then you can meet in person at whatever location makes you comfortable. This interview is an important part of the hiring process. Be sure to ask about the babysitter’s background, and let them know more details about your child, your home environment, and your expectations.
