Babysitter of the Month: Thinley
Babysitter of the Month: Thinley
This month, we’d like to introduce you to Thinley!
Thinley just recently moved from India to Japan with her husband. As a student, Thinley was a part of a team that was responsible for taking care of underprivileged children in India both inside and outside of school. The team was responsible for providing to the daily needs of children, such as education, health, and hygiene. They were also involved in putting together and running classes for kids who didn’t attend the school.
Because she was so young when she first joined the team, Thinley felt that her work with the children ended up being a great opportunity for her own personality development. It was a lot of responsibility for a young girl, but through this experience, Thinley learned how to appreciate and find happiness in even the small things in life. Even now, in her move to Japan, a new country far away from her family back in India, Thinley draws from what she learned in her experience working with underprivileged children to stay strong and positive. Moving is never easy, but it doesn’t have to be difficult. In regards to the move, Thinley says “actually it was quite easy for me to take responsibility and my own decisions. All the experience I had in the past taught me good qualities like empathy and made me a more responsible and independent woman that I am today”.
Thinley understands childhood as being a very important phase in a person’s life in shaping that person for the rest of their life. As such, for Thinley, “it is of utmost importance to take good care of children during their childhood and provide them with a healthy environment where they can grow.”
We asked Thinley to answer a few questions to get to know her better:
