The babysitters in the CareFinder community have many unique backgrounds, talents and insights into what makes a good sitter. Every month, we highlight someone doing an exceptional job. This month we'd like to introduce you to Anita!

 

Anita is originally from Uganda and has three years of prior experience as a preschool and kindergarten teacher for a boarding school. She's also a mom herself! Anita has a young son and has helped her brother in taking care of his twin children since they were born.

 

Anita speaks English and is happy to help new parents as a "mother's helper" and children with toilet training and homework.

 

We asked Anita a few questions to learn more about her!

 

I am a mother and believe taking care of a child is not basically a job; it's an emotion. And everything you do with good emotions is always good I believe.

 

CareFinder is great. I love the communication, the fact that there's always someone keeping track and caring how things are going. And most importantly, there's always someone to assist me when I call. I love that and appreciate it very much

 

The smiles from children! Ohh it's so comforting!

 

My only challenge is the culture difference.

 

I love dancing,a lot. I watch lots of cartoons, and lots of comedy movies.

 

I never lose my smile! And my heart gets softer and warmer each day

 

Ohh yes! I have been taking care of these amazing twins; they are premature. I met them when they were about three months old, and watching them develop step-by-step has been an amazing experience.

 

Thank you so much for giving me an opportunity to work with CareFinder! I have had an opportunity to learn. I have met kind and amazing people and I have experienced magical feelings from children. Each day has been amazing.
