Location: Yushima Tenjin Shrine (Yushima/Ueno Okamachi Station)
Every year, about 300 plum trees bloom beautiful white and pink blossoms at Yushima Tenjin Shrine. Dating back to the Edo period, Yushima Tenjin Shrine has been widely celebrated as a popular "plum spot" and began holding festivals from 1958. Welcoming the 62nd year, visitors can enjoy a variety of entertainment including shamisen playing, bellydancing, karaoke contests, plum wine and tea tastings, traditional Japanese dance performances and comic storytellings.

Location: Tokyo Asobimare (Keio Horino Uchi Station)
Can't travel to snow this winter? Play in snow right here in Tokyo! At Tokyo Asobimare, kids can play in a comfortable temperature of 18-20 °C in Japan's first indoor all-year Snow Town. Go sledding or build a snowman, the options are endless. The facility provides free rental for snow boots (sizes 14-28cm) and sleds and also sells gloves, socks and t-shirts in case they get wet from having too much fun in the snow.
